Private Client Associate

Your mission
Private Client Associates play a pivotal role in supporting our Advisers through the delivery of suitability reports and the acquisition of prospective clients.  Every advice event requires an SJP compliant advice set and PCAs (Private Client Associate) are crucial ‘quality control’ gatekeepers . They position our 
service to prospective clients and answer any initial questions, helping engage the prospect with 
Apollo.  
  • To produce comprehensive, accurate and clear Suitability Reports - on a wide variety of topics       including Pensions, Investments, Retirement, Inheritance tax, and Protection 
  • To assess initial fact find / case quality and feedback any shortfalls to the adviser before                commencing work on cases 
  • Careful maintenance of back-office records relating to paraplanning such as updating a client’s fact find - making sure that client files meet all regulatory and company requirements 
  • Keeping up to date with SJP process changes, resulting from technical, legislative and regulatory  developments 
  • To liaise with third party providers; to acquire additional information where required 
  • To liaise with SJP’s internal compliance department (Business Assurance) to ensure cases are      graded as Suitable first time – on all cases checked – both pre and post approval 
  • To meet internal Service Level Agreements for the delivery of compliant advice in a timely             manner  
  • Business development, building relationships with new clients and identifying financial planning needs on behalf of the Wealth Adviser  
  • Personal development - Attaining your Level 4 qualification within 12  months and developing your Adviser skillset and experience

Your profile
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following qualities;
  • Ambition to become a Financial Adviser within the coming 2-3 years
  • Unwavering drive and determination
  • Part Qualified in Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning 
  • Some paraplanning or Business Development experience 
  • Working experience within the financial advice industry 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Sales skills
  • Strong team player

The Private Client Associate role offers the following;
  • £28,000-£34,000 basic salary depending on experience and level 4 qualification
